Historic narrow gauge model railroad comes alive
Переглядів 17 тис.10 місяців тому
Over the past 40 years, Jeff Reynolds and a few friends have created two snapshots in time of the history of the Rio Grande Southern railroad in 1:87 scale. October 1st, 1940 and the same date in 1950 were chosen to model the dazzling fall colors of the San Juans in southwestern Colorado . Everything in the video creates a connection with and supports either date: the structures; scenery; rolli...

Dayum, bud. Your talents have no limits. This is almost as terrific as your horn playing.
Ha, thanks Rick. Say, I subscribed to your channel but didn't se any videos, when you going to put some up?
@@JohnReynolds661 I have a channel? I had no idea. Guess I need to find it…
Thanks for the update John, your fine craftsmanship is a joy to watch. Thanks for taking us along for the ride!
I never get tired of watching this, I’d love this engine in my Meyers Manx
Hard racing! nothing breaking! Success!
Never go full automatic!
What clutch setup do you run ? Thanks . BTW I love what you’ve done with the VW. Building one myself but I’m only shooting for around 450 hp .
Organic ACT. Don't use ceramic or you will make gear chowder.
You had the gloves on the wrong hands.
There was no instructions for the gloves but yeah, I think that was the whole problem.
One thing you are not sir is a half asser.
Great job well planned
My first car at age 17 was a Corvair Corsa. Wasn’t allowed to park it in my parents driveway because it leaked too much oil. Went for a ride in1972 in a mid engine 327 corvair…. fast!!!
So glad for the update! 👍
I make my own A/C hoses with that crimp tool all the time. It might be the one thing I can do as well as you.
Can we stop with the term frunk for the trunk that’s in the front? We don’t call the one in the rear a rrunk….
I don't know what to call them but I'm open for suggestions. The engine isn't in the front or rear and Neither one carries any luggage.
@@JohnReynolds661 How about calling them what they are. A trunk for Americans or a boot for our English friends across the pond.
@@Youseguys Which one is the trunk, the front or back or is it front trunk and rear trunk?
@@JohnReynolds661 Doesn’t matter. A trunk is a trunk no matter which end. Or if you prefer a boot
My vote is FOR the script! Thanks John just an AWESOME JOB on the whole series.
Does "Chris" have automotive aspirations?
Not really. One in the family is enough though.
I have been watching your project videos since the beginning and I can't help but ask: "What's your next project?"
Thanks, the new project is sitting in the garage and will be unveiled soon.
Put some wider tires on back
You have my upmost respect
This guy is a master craftsman I'm jealous as hell
Great job on getting that bend on the first shot.
I lucked out on that first bend for sure.
John I enjoy watching your videos. This has been another great series. You talent and skills never cease to amaze me. This is going to be a cool Corvair!
We missed you. Thanks. Looking forward to the next drop
John, exemplary work as usual! Can you tell me the brand and model driver's seat you have there in the Corvair?
Thanks, seats are Corbeau. I believe it's GTS II. Nice seat but pretty firm.
@@JohnReynolds661 Thanks John. They do look good, but that firmness may be less good looking after a long road trip for me. I appreciate that info. I'll check 'em out nonetheless.
Very pleased to see an update. You do brilliant work.
nice!
thanks for the updates. I appreciated seeing the previous video/ concert, it is nice to see the other sides of a craftsman. For most of us, cars are a hobby, our real life does not often show to others if they only see one side of us.

I've got somewhere to be but John has dropped another Corvair video. I guess I'll be late.
You have a lot of talent and patience
Nice work as always. Your fabrication is top notch.
Love watching your videos. Especially love your high brow humor!!
Great!
A joy to watch, as always
I build a V8 Corvair in Blender. Can't say it was as hard as doing it in real Life, but I was a rat bastard and didn't bother get this obsessed with a firewall and just based it off the crown corvair kits out there.
You do nice work John 👍
Your videos are indeed, "Stop the press," because I have to watch them. I am amazed at the level of your craftsmanship. EXCELLENT!
those are NOT drain plates,,,those were fixture holes for production at body assy......nice job
Good to know, thanks.
Awesome job, good sir.
Thanks for the update ! 💪👍🏼
"Here's a great fabrication video with a dash of wit."
The Corvair project is one of my favorate projects for me on UA-cam. Was just thinking the other day that I wish there was another episode, and here it is.
Makes me want to learn to play the French Horn! 😜
It's really simple to play. You'll have it mastered in a few days. Ha!
It seems like I've been waiting forever for this update!
That is awesome. Where do I buy one looks like a lot of fun.
I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate the work that goes into making these videos. On top of the work on the car. I truly enjoy what you do.
I love this project! When the second gen Corvairs came out I thought they were beautiful cars and dreamed of building a mid-engined version. Never happened but I'm enjoying your progress on yours. Can't wait until it's finished.
I love watching your videos.
Love everything you do John. Thanks for the awe inspiring videos.
